Check whether the temperature of the feed meets the required standards. 2. Verify if the ammonia concentration in the feed is within acceptable limits. 3. Examine the quality of the steam. 4. The inlet temperature of the hydrolysis tower decreases; the reasons vary depending on the process. Generally, it is possible to check whether the heat exchanger and the heating source are functioning properly. Based on a detailed analysis of the process flow structure, it is not difficult to identify the cause. From the poster’s description, are you guys using Monsanto’s hydrolysis process?
The ammonia concentration in our ammonia tank is not high. We have found that the temperature in the middle section of the stripping tower has a significant impact on the inlet temperature of our hydrolysis tower. What is the temperature in the middle section of your stripping tower?
Could you provide some data for analysis, such as the hydrolysis pressure, the temperatures in the upper and lower columns under normal conditions, the urea content, and the amount of steam added, etc.?
If the temperature at the upper part of the hydrolyzer cannot be increased, it indicates a high ammonia content in the gas phase. If the urea level reaches the specified value, it means that the desorption capacity of the desorption tower is insufficient, or the load is too high.
The distillation hydrolysis units currently in use generally allow the hydrolyzed gas phase to enter the upper part of the first distillation tower for heat utilization; if the temperature of this gas phase is low, it will result in a low temperature in the upper part of the distillation tower. This can be resolved by increasing the temperature of the hydrolysis tower.
