I have been working at the oil production facility for 39 years, serving as the supervisor in charge of oil production engineering and on-site construction at the oil field. It refers to the process management for a single well (including mechanical oil extraction), from the metering station to the main pipeline, then to the transfer station, the initial processing station, and finally to the export of crude oil. As of now, after more than 30 years, it is still the same. In 1976, a pilot project for automation was carried out in one block, which involved eliminating metering stations and using automated single-well metering at transfer stations. The oil and gas gathering and transportation in gas fields may differ from that in oil fields. In the gas field where I work, there are three scenarios: first, direct measurement at individual wells, followed by transportation through dedicated pipelines from those wells to main lines and then to processing plants; Secondly, it is through a single well, via a single-well transfer pipeline to a valve bank, then to the main pipeline, and finally to the treatment plant for metering (at a level-1.5 distribution station) ; Third, from a single well, the fluid is transported via a dedicated pipeline to a metering station (or gas collection station) for measurement, and then sent through main pipelines to a processing plant (in a secondary distribution network). Currently, there are very few natural gas production facilities with a three-stage distribution system.
For the oil well metering in some areas of our facility, we have tried the indicator diagram method (which involves converting data on dynamic production at the wellhead; there are ready-made software programs available for this purpose). ), the metering stations were removed, which was quite successful, but this approach is suitable for oilfields with relatively low oil and gas levels.
