Domestic demulsifiers are still used more frequently; there is no significant difference in technology between them. Moreover, domestic demulsifiers are produced based on the characteristics of local crude oil, which gives them better adaptability compared to imported ones.
Demulsifiers are basically all domestically produced; their properties fully meet the requirements of various types of crude oil, and their prices are much lower than those of imported ones.
Thank you both! I originally thought that domestic products were mainly used in oil fields, while refineries might require higher standards before vacuum distillation and thus rely more on imported products! I would also like to ask everyone: do these domestic demulsifiers use imported polyethers?
It seems everyone here is an expert. I’m a new employee with no experience at all, but I think I can achieve something
There are many domestic ones. Mainly from Nanjing.
Currently, the water-soluble demulsifiers used in oil refining are entirely domestically produced; there are no imported products; Oil-soluble demulsifiers are used in both domestic and imported products. It is understood that water-soluble demulsifiers have a high degree of specificity, which is why there are many varieties of them, whereas oil-soluble demulsifiers have a wider range of applications, resulting in fewer varieties and suppliers. From a development perspective, oil-soluble demulsifiers will replace water-soluble demulsifiers.
Demulsifiers can be simply considered to consist of two components, A and B; different demulsifiers differ only in the ratio of these two components (depending on the properties of the raw materials). The quality of demulsifiers produced in China is good, and their prices are lower than those of imported ones, so domestic products should be preferred.
There are many domestic options, but we use imported components in our setup; the results are good, and the importers provide excellent support, with technical assistance available on site on a long-term basis. This is something that domestic products should learn from.
At present, domestically produced water-soluble demulsifiers are mainly used; foreign demulsifiers are oil-soluble, and there are only a few manufacturers of such products. Moreover, their import prices are too high, making it difficult to promote their use in China!
Oil-soluble demulsifiers are superior to water-soluble ones, and imported oil-soluble demulsifiers are better than domestic ones, such as those from Kurita Chemical.
