I just finished installing V7; the operating system is VISTA Home. Following the moderator’s \"Detailed Instructions for Installing Aspen V7\" (http://bbs.hcbbs.com/viewthread.php?tid=393848&highlight=V7), the installation went smoothly. However, when using the Shell & Tuber Exchanger in Exchanger Design and Rating, I encountered the error \"unable to acquire TASCPLUS license\". It seems there must be an issue with the license, but this problem persists even after reinstalling it. Has anyone encountered this issue?
It is recommended to avoid using Vista as much as possible; XP is sufficient
Poster: 1) When installing the software, try using the SLM tool version 8.1 to see how it works, as the 8.X version of SLM is designed for Vista; the 7.x version is designed for XP
“The “Detailed Instructions for Installing Aspen V7” don’t mention installing SLM 8.1 at all, do they? Should I uninstall V7 first and then install SLM 8.1, or do I not need to uninstall it?
Mine also has a VISTA system, and the situation is the same as what the original poster described. My HYSYS is facing the same problem; I’ve installed it several times yet the issue still persists – it’s really frustrating
V7 is slow. It’s too slow; the version from 2006 is faster
Has anyone solved this problem?
It’s best to avoid using Vista and Win7 as well; I keep running into problems whenever I install them.
I can’t use it either now; reinstalling doesn’t help either. The same problem occurs when it’s installed on virtual machines as well
Hasn’t anyone solved this problem? I’m facing the same issue
