Currently, the protection of instruments and signal grounding both utilize an electrical grounding grid, that is, equipotential grounding. My question is: will connecting the grounding of the welding machine to the grounding electrode during on-site construction affect the proper operation of the instrumentation system? Also, are there any regulations prohibiting welding work to be carried out at the site where the equipment is in operation?
There are certain requirements for the grounding wire of the butt welding machine; improper connection of this wire can lead to accidents. There have been such incidents in various companies – in mild cases, the equipment gets damaged, while in more severe cases, it results in shutdowns. However, as long as the grounding wire is not connected to the instrument tubing or sampling tubes and is kept as far away as possible from the instrument system, no problems will arise.
Agreed! The grounding of the welding machine must be on the welded piece, and the closer to the welding point, the better!
The power supply and grounding of welding machines belong to the power system, and introducing them into the control system would have catastrophic consequences. There are clear regulations for the construction techniques and installation standards of both specialties.
I would like to ask about the fourth floor: what are the various regulations and rules in place? Could you provide more details, such as the names of these regulations and standards, as well as their contents?; Thank you. To convince the construction company and the owner, there must be sufficient evidence.
Personally, I don’t see any problem; all the instruments are connected to the electrical grounding network, and your welding machine is also connected to the ground electrode. I don’t think this has any impact

Logically, the electrical and power systems should be separated. Is the power system connected to the steel structure of the factory building, that is, to the ground wire connected to the welding machine?
