Coal gasification refers to the process of extracting gaseous, liquid fuels, and fine chemicals from coal using mild pyrolysis methods, in combination with circulating fluidized bed technology, under normal pressure, at moderate temperatures, without the use of catalysts or hydrogen. This process also enables desulfurization and denitrification, thereby achieving the simultaneous production of oil, gas, heat, and electricity. Figure 1 shows the system flow diagram of the coal gasification pilot plant. This system consists of 5 parts: (1) Boiler main system. A one-dimensional mathematical model was developed for the pneumatic transportation system of semi-coke generated by coal gasification, taking into account processes such as the movement of solid particles during pneumatic transportation of semi-coke, convective and radiative heat transfer between solids and gas, the release and combustion of residual volatiles in semi-coke, the combustion of coke, the reduction of CO2 on the coke surface, and the combustion of CO in the gas phase. It introduces the pilot-scale coal pulling unit and its system composition, and conducts numerical simulations of its material distribution system using the established model. Parameters such as the average gas-solid velocity across the cross-section, the pressure loss along the flow path, and the temperatures of the gas and solid phases during the semi-coke transportation are obtained, providing guidance for the implementation of the pilot test. Calculations show that the combustion of coke can be ignored during the pneumatic transport of semi-coke, whereas the combustion of volatiles causes the gas temperature to rise from 180°C to 800°C. The increase in gas velocity leads to higher pressure losses and severe pipe wear; therefore, a conveying method with varying pipe diameters is advisable in pilot-scale installations. .
