There is no issue with feasibility, but more demonstration is needed. Currently, more hydrogen is produced by methanol hydrolysis than by ammonia, as it seems to be more advantageous from a technical standpoint.
In the 1970s, France introduced three large fertilizer production plants; during startup, hydrogen was generated through ammonia cracking to raise the temperature, after which oil was used to produce hydrogen. Today, the technique of producing urea from oil has been largely replaced by methods that use coal as a raw material. Based on this, the ammonia-to-hydrogen process is considered feasible, with very low profits or essentially no profits at all.
Hydrogen production from ammonia is a last resort; ammonia is obtained by synthesizing hydrogen and nitrogen from chemical raw materials. Hydrogen is produced by the cracking of ammonia; so isn’t that going in circles again? Won’t the production cost increase as a result? So it is technically feasible, but not economically viable.
For equipment of your size, it is more appropriate to use water-gas or natural gas for hydrogen production; ammonia decomposition is suitable for smaller volumes of less than 800 cubic meters, as it is simple to operate and requires less investment. Methanol cracking is better suited for volumes of less than 1500 cubic meters
For hydrogen production equipment with a capacity of 300, using ammonia decomposition is a cost-effective option; it requires less investment, is easy to operate and maintain, and the technology is mature
Why not build a unit with a capacity of 3300 Nm3/h?
