I’m really not sure about this. Maybe it’s based on converting the input and output materials into energy. The emissions are normal. After all, coal is still used for combustion. No matter what the final product is, the energy of coal is converted into other chemical products.

To synthesize natural gas from coal, it must undergo a methanation reaction, and the raw materials for methanation must be obtained from the gasification reaction or other associated reactions. But CO2 must be released. Therefore, it is difficult to explain anything by just looking at this data. Only by combining it with specific processes can we make a specific explanation.
