What level should a fire adjuster be assigned to in job evaluation? What is the general position of our treatment within the coke oven system? (We are second in the coke oven system, right after the ramming operators.)
Our fitters are classified at the same level as crane operators in terms of job evaluation.
Based on the level of technical expertise required, the fire adjuster should hold the highest rank. **In terms of skill assessment levels, master blacksmiths can reach the rank of senior technician, while other trades may have lower ranks. So in terms of compensation, the fire adjuster should have the highest pay.
Furnace operators can reach the rank of senior technician, enjoying the same benefits as senior engineers. Compared to other job types, the pay for fire tanners is the highest.
Previously, the wages of the workers in our factory who were in charge of adjusting the fire level were not high; they were even lower than those of the workers who operated the four major machines. However, after there were instances of immature coke being produced, their wages increased, becoming higher than those of the workers operating the four major machines – in fact, they became the highest among all the workers in our factory.
Theoretically, the salary of a fire tamer should be higher in the coking workshop than that of other types of workers.
