The current standard GB/T20801 states that GB8163 pipes cannot be used for GC1 applications. Since this regulation was introduced recently, two issues have arisen: what should be done with the GC1 pipes that were previously made using GB8163? Do they need to be replaced? If a replacement is needed, some devices almost require complete re-piping, and this possibility is virtually zero ; If there is no need for any changes to the previous regulations, it means that GB8163 pipes are fully suitable for use in GC1 pipes, and practice has proven that they are safe. Therefore, there is no need to include this provision now. So what should be done?
Standards are gradually improved through production practice. . There are many such problems. New projects must definitely follow the new standards. Previous projects don’t need to be revised according to the new standards either. The absence of accidents does not mean it is safe. . The safety level is certainly not as high as required by the new standards. The probability of an accident is high.
As long as the calculation results meet the specifications, I think it can be used
Use the original standards for existing ones, and apply new standards to newly installed devices

Whether it is a new standard or a partial revision, it can be adopted as of the implementation date. The previous ones can be used. However, those that are still in the design phase may require modifications, while those whose design has been completed and construction is underway can generally remain unchanged.

The old ones shall follow the original specifications, while new devices should be constructed in accordance with the new standards – GB/T20801. This standard is still a recommended one at present; whether to use it or not depends on the actual circumstances
