A weight valve is used for the single swirl leg; after various adjustments, it is suspected that the weight valve may be stuck. In the past, a flap valve was used for the light catalyst. We would like to hear from experienced colleagues regarding the advantages and disadvantages of using weight valves and flap valves in single swirl settlers, as well as their impact on the solid content of the oil slurry

It seems that most devices use flap valves, which should be more flexible than weight-driven valves. Do you have density and reserve measurement points on your single-spin leg? It is possible to determine whether the single-spin recovery system is functioning properly based on these data

I heard for the first time that a settler uses a weight valve; all I had seen and heard of were flap valves, with only the four-rotor type using a weight valve.

It depends on the density and volume of the slurry; if the solid content in the slurry is high, reduce reprocessing and increase external discharge. If the solid content in the slurry remains high for an extended period, it can cause blockages in the slurry pipelines, and in severe cases, coking may occur at the bottom of the distillation tower

The two types of flap valves have different structures, and under coking conditions, the fully covered flap valve is superior to the weight-driven flap valve.

I think the selection of the flap valve and the weight should be determined based on the discharge volume from the centrifuge and the overall circulation volume of these two components
