I heard that Liugang’s ammonia-based desulfurization system is already in operation! Are there experienced people who are well-versed in this project? Could you introduce it to everyone?
Let’s share two of the reviews I saw: 1. With the ammonia-based method used by Liugang, there are two issues: first, the problem of the ammonia source; second, the by-products cannot be used as fertilizers and need to be processed further! Additionally, there is a problem of secondary pollution. 2. The ammonia-based method employed by Dudu Environmental Protection at Liugang seems to be quite good. Dudu Environmental Protection started relatively late, but it has gained significant popularity nowadays, largely thanks to the networks and reputation built over the years by MCC South in the steel industry. But they had good judgment and chose the ammonia method, avoiding the more problematic options. I have also been to Liugang; their equipment is good, and the pure sulfuric acid there shows just how advanced their technology is. But the white smoke coming out of the tower chimney is indeed quite surprising. Issues such as ammonia leakage and the accumulation of heavy metals in sulfuric acid are matters that urban environmental protection efforts need to take into consideration more closely. In steel plants with many workers concentrated in low-height chimneys, ammonia leakage poses a much greater threat to workers than sulfur dioxide. Although the heavy metals present in sulfuric acid meet the standards for such substances, these standards date back over a decade; it remains to be determined whether they still comply with current and future standards. However, it is undeniable that among these domestic technologies, urban environmental protection is the leading one. It’s just a repost; I’m not responsible for the evaluations contained within it
Hehe, it seems that those up above are also reposting! Thank you! It would be best if someone who has experienced the Liugang project could give an introduction! It’s not known whether they use the high-temperature ammonia method or the low-temperature ammonia method How many times of aeration oxidation?
4# rujunsun generally doesn’t comment on specific projects. This involves issues of responsibility. Let’s talk about technology.
In my opinion, the main limitations of the ammonia method in the steel industry lie in raw material sourcing, by-product treatment, and operational procedures. The entire ammonia-based process is similar to that in the chemical industry; therefore, users need to have certain experience in the operation and management of chemical plants. It is more suitable for steel companies that own coking plants: there is a guaranteed supply of raw materials, ways exist to handle by-products, and they also have experience in managing chemical processing facilities ; For some sintering plants that lack experience in chemical process operation management, certain investment may be required in this area.

[/q I agree with the person above; as far as I know, a certain steel plant is installing ammonia-based desulfurization equipment for its sintering flue gas, using a low-temperature ammonia method. I will keep tracking it and inform Haiyou when the time comes.
3# rujunsun: What is the \"high-temperature ammonia method\" and what is the \"low-temperature ammonia method\"?
A flue gas temperature of over 80 degrees is considered a high-temperature ammonia process
9# rujunsun: So, in general, if there is a GGH, it refers to the high-temperature ammonia method, and if there is no GGH, it’s the low-temperature ammonia method? Is this understanding correct?
In the first 10 months after its operation, Liugang produced 6,000 tons of AN sulfuric acid, with an exhaust gas volume of 650,000 standard cubic meters, according to the factory’s data; this means a monthly production of 600 tons of AN sulfuric acid. The sulfur content in the exhaust gas is not known. It seems that analysis doesn’t work either.
Ammonia-based desulfurization can easily cause secondary pollution by heavy metals; why isn’t it regulated by national standards at present? Isn’t there any other or better method for desulfurization?
