Can ASPEN perform hydraulic calculations for plate columns? What about PRO2? Actually, I’m wondering what software is generally used for hydraulic calculations of plate columns
Either one will do, but whether the calculation is accurate is another matter. It’s used quite a lot for FRI.
Are there any specific examples from ASPEN for the hydraulic calculations of plate towers? Can you send one?
I want to know that too; I used to really want to find this before!
FRI or the domestic product Chemical Star will both work
You just need to enter the relevant tray parameters in the tray rating... GL
Either software will work; the reliability of the calculation results depends on the choice of data. Some practical experience is required.
Of course, you can choose from many types of tray designs in the tower settings section.

There are specialized software programs for performing hydraulic calculations. Of course, ASPEN can be used for such calculations, but I’m not very good at using it. I wonder if there are anyone who is highly skilled in this area of hydraulic engineering.
