How is the distributor of a falling film evaporator designed?
1# chih6511 can be designed based on the structure of the liquid distributor; Tianjin University has patented products for this.
For alkali evaporation, a falling film evaporator was used, with the distributor design being determined by the requirements specified in the process. I don’t think the distributor is that important; as long as it can distribute the fluid evenly, that’s sufficient. What’s really crucial is the liquid distribution tube that surrounds the heat exchange tubes.
Regarding falling film evaporation, I recommend consulting the Department of Process Equipment and Control Engineering at Hebei University of Technology; they have great expertise in this field, and they also possess their own patented technologies for the liquid distribution devices used in falling film evaporators

Whether the material can be evenly coated directly affects the evaporation efficiency. The film formers/distributors of tubular and plate evaporators have different structures. Generally speaking, fully welded plate evaporators are easier to coat with a film, and they also yield the best results.
