What is the power consumption of a pressure transmitter approximately?
Generally less than 4W, around 2.5W
It mainly depends on the manufacturer, as well as on the working principle of the transmitter; transmitters with different principles have different power consumptions. Most modern transmitters have a power consumption of less than 5W.
That can’t be right. 2-wire pressure transmitter, 24V×20mA=0.48W. This is still the maximum power consumption. Additionally, the isolation barrier also consumes some power, which is supplied by an external power source.
2# hitfm1102 is right; pressure transmitters primarily convert pressure signals into electrical signals, and their power consumption is very low, to the point where it can be ignored.
I checked with the manufacturer; the value for EJA is around 1W
4# Changfeng Jiwanli: Its normal power consumption is 1–2W. 24V is only the ideal standard voltage; the normal operating voltage range for this power supply is 12–40V. A portion of this also needs to be divided as voltage across the load resistor. 4~20mA is the output current, not the input current. If you really have to calculate it theoretically, you can only do so by dividing the square of the voltage by the resistance. Taking the piezoresistive element from Teian Electronics that we have on hand as an example (with a resistance of 500 ohms): 24*24/500=1.152W

In the data provided for use in Ex-zones, it is also shown that the equipment terminals 2+ and 3- have currents of 74mA/115mA respectively; the voltage Uo is 25.4V, the current Io is 3.5V, and the power Po is 64mW.
