As the title indicates, the upper part of the acidic water stripping tower is the packing section; cold feed enters from the top of this packing section, while hot feed enters from one of the tower trays. Acidic gas (H2S) is extracted from the top of the tower, and crude ammonia is extracted via a side stream. The liquid at the bottom of the tower is purified water. I’m not sure what model should be used for the packing section
The SOUR model can be used; it converges very easily
Both packed towers and plate towers are calculated based on the equivalent number of theoretical plates, and the calculation results are independent of the internal components used

Proii can certainly perform the calculations, but you need to convert all the trays and packing into theoretical plate numbers in order to carry out the simulation. The results calculated using proii are process simulation data, which are essentially not closely related to the tower structure. Of course, the challenge lies in accurately linking the process simulation data to the actual structure, which is much more complicated; one can refer to relevant materials for this. It’s better to choose the rigorous calculation model; the thermodynamic equations can use the Sour formulation, but this model seems to have difficulty converging……
