What is the difference between class150 and 150 pounds? What materials should I look at? Thank you!
The nominal pressure is the working pressure, expressed in pressure grades, that fittings, valves, etc. are permitted to withstand at specified temperatures. Class 150 indicates that the base temperature of the material is above 200°C; it can withstand a pressure of 150 lb at this base temperature, whereas the base temperature for metric systems is room temperature. Therefore, the pressure corresponding to class 150lb is 2.0 MPa (petrochemical standard). They are all pressure rating symbols according to the American standard; the equivalent value for the Ministry of Chemicals is 2.0 megapascals.
