During the process installation, a sewage drain needs to be installed in front of each row of pumps. Are there any standard specifications regarding the installation of such sewage drains?

Placement of the pump’s drain (funnel): l) The drain (funnel) should be placed in a location that facilitates drainage from the pump as well as waste removal from the filter; 2) Pumps for light oil products in cooling water systems can be equipped with drain leaks, with the drains leading directly to buried sewage pipes. 3) For pumps installed in pits, a drain (or pumping facility) must be provided in the pit to allow water accumulated there to be drained away. Installation of the sewage drain for mechanical pumps: l) A sewage drain should be installed around the pump foundation; alternatively, a sewage drain can be placed in front of the pump with its end aligned with that of the pump foundation ; 2) In pump areas where corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis, or other chemical agents are concentrated outdoors, acid- and alkali-resistant flooring should be considered, and a retaining wall should be installed; the floor within this wall should slope toward the sewage ditch, from where the waste water containing acids, alkalis, or other contaminants is discharged into the corresponding sewage system. When arranging pumps of different sizes, there are generally three methods: 1. Align the centerlines of the pump outlets; the advantage is that it simplifies uniform operation. 2. The pump foundation surface should be leveled to facilitate the installation of sewage pipes or ditches, as well as to make foundation construction easier. 3. Align the foundation surface at the power end. The advantages are that cable wiring is easy and cost-effective; the pump switch and ammeter are located on the same line, and the motor is easy to operate. Of course, if the size difference between the pumps is too large, it will result in an overly long suction pipe
