There are many techniques for preventing hydrates at the wellhead of gas wells, such as water jacket furnaces, electric heaters, wellhead alcohol injection, downhole throttling, etc. For low-yield gas wells, what principles should be followed in process selection? The following are some personal opinions: 1. The method of installing a heating furnace or electric heater at the wellhead is a traditional way to prevent hydrates. Personally, I feel that it is suitable for high-yield wells with high gas production. 2. Downhole throttling is a new method to prevent hydrates that has been recently proposed, but it has not yet been fully promoted. The throttle valve is closely related to the cleanliness of the gas produced. If the throttle valve is damaged, it is difficult to replace, and it is potentially dangerous to the subsequent process pipeline design.
Most of the gas wells in our factory are low-yield gas wells, and most of them adopt the method of downhole throttling. For wells with high liquid production, wellhead methanol drip irrigation or wellhead heating furnaces will be equipped with measures such as wellhead methanol drip irrigation or wellhead heating furnaces to prevent pipeline blockage.
