I want to create a simulation of a liquid ring compressor, but I don’t know how to set it up. It seems that Aspen doesn’t have any specific settings regarding liquid rings. How can I simulate this to make it as close as possible to the reality? I hope someone with experience can give me some advice. The main problem now is that the simulated power is low; even a significant temperature rise cannot be simulated. I set the phase to gas-liquid two-phase, but the warning ‘There is liquid below the dew point’ still appears in the control panel; it seems that simulation of a liquid ring compressor isn’t possible, is that correct?
Can a compressor compress liquids? Clarify the concept. A compressor can only compress gases.

LZ, it’s the fluid that you need to compress, right? The compressor COMPR is only capable of compressing gases; it cannot handle liquids. Use a pump instead for compression, PUMP

Liquids are incompressible. Gases are also incompressible. To increase the pressure of a liquid, a pump can be used. Yet this does not involve compressing the liquid; it is merely a transfer of energy.
The original poster simulated a liquid ring vacuum pump; a compressor can be used along with FLASH (liquid added), and the temperature is determined by the circulating liquid. In practice, the circulating liquid is cooled.
