Using PTFE as a gasket is the best option.
Wrapping Teflon tape with asbestos rubber sheeting is also an option, but it can only be used once.
Of course~~ acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, and heat-resistant!
PVC sheets, neoprene sheets, and asbestos are all acceptable; PTFE is the best option
I disagree with the above view, as PTFE appears to have the potential to damage titanium passivation. So it’s best not to use it.
Polytetrafluoroethylene, neoprene, and EPDM can be used. Some people say that PTFE has an impact on titanium, but in our actual use, we have not encountered this problem.
It should be possible; our factory uses rubber pads, as PTFE ones are just too expensive! Save costs.
This post was last edited by pzhhuagong on 2009-7-3 at 12:30. The design drawings of our factory specify the use of EPDM gaskets, so it should be EPDM gaskets that are used.
