There is currently high-temperature gas at around 600 degrees, and it needs to be transported through pipes. The wall temperature tolerance of ordinary steel pipes used in power plants is not very high, around 500 degrees (materials that can withstand higher temperatures are rare, which leads to a significant increase in cost). The lining is somewhat troublesome; heat-resistant stainless steel can be used, but it’s not as good as 304H

If the pipe diameter is small, heat-resistant stainless steel should be used; if the diameter is large, insulation lining can be employed by first welding a diamond-shaped mesh on the inner wall of the pipe and then applying a high-alumina refractory coating.

Carbon steel is used, and insulating concrete should be poured inside the pipe to meet the operational requirements. The simple approach involves using 304H high-temperature stainless steel with external insulation for the pipes.
I’m not sure what the diameter of your pipe is; if it’s 400 mm, a lining can be installed, with aluminum silicate ceramic fiber insulation on the outside, and the thickness will not exceed 180 mm. The effect is fine. Many of today’s castables can easily reach operating temperatures of over 1400 degrees.
