The dryer in one of the production lines in our compound fertilizer workshop has a diameter of 1800 mm and a length of 1600 mm, and the turning plates inside it are intact. I want to upgrade and increase the production capacity of other equipment; I’m not sure if the dryer is the bottleneck. What is the maximum drying capacity of this Haiyou dryer? Thank you!

The 30,000-ton compound fertilizer production line originally designed by Nanhua was equipped with a dryer with a diameter of 1,800 millimeters and a length of 13,500 millimeters. However, during actual production it was found that the length-to-diameter ratio was a bit too small; as a result, many manufacturers (including those who produce the equipment) increased the length of this device. For dryers, there is the concept of volumetric evaporation intensity. In actual production, the drying capacity of compound fertilizers is highly dependent on the type of fertilizer.
With a diameter of 1800 mm and a length of 16,000 mm, its maximum production capacity is 50,000 tons per year. The dryer not only has a drying function but also one for secondary granulation. To increase production capacity, it is recommended to cut away 3 meters of the structure in front of the dryer to facilitate secondary granulation.
