Dry quenching of coke: APS clamping issue

Our APS used to use two hydraulic cylinders to clamp together, but now one cylinder clamps first and then the other one does so as well. Is there a problem with the solenoid valve, or is there air inside it?
It is likely due to friction at the cylinders and hinges. Solutions: 1. Apply lubricant to each hinge; 2. Gradually reduce the flow at the inlet or outlet of the quick-ball valve connected to the cylinder (at the cylinder hose) until both cylinders move in roughly sync. (It only needs to be adjusted properly with the clamp unloaded.)
This situation is quite common; the key is to properly adjust the pressure control valves for the inlet and outlet oil
