Opening direction of the manhole cover on the reactor vessel head

With the opening orientation at 180 degrees, how should the direction in which the manhole cover is opened be chosen? The manhole at the head section is of the rotary cover type.
The manhole on the reactor head is generally perpendicular to the head, that is, perpendicular to the normal of the head, allowing the cover to be opened easily from either side.
Does the left-right direction mentioned by the moderator refer to the long axis direction of the end cap?
In most cases, it opens from left to right, with the axis edge on the right side. This may be related to ergonomics. It’s not clear whether there are any standard regulations. Whoever can find the standard regulations and post them will get extra points from me!
