Who can tell me the design steps of a distillation tower? I'm a beginner and a little confused.
Then just do it like you did your graduation project. There are many examples of course design on the Internet. You can go and take a look.
First, clarify the basic conditions such as processing capacity and raw material composition, select the type of distillation tower (plate tower or packed tower), calculate the number of theoretical plates, select packing, determine the basic dimensions such as the diameter and height of the tower, calculate the heat exchange area of the reboiler and overhead condenser, select the heat exchanger type, determine the materials of the distillation tower, reboiler, overhead condenser and receiving tank according to the composition of the raw material, select appropriate tower internals (distributors, demisters, etc.) and draw equipment drawings
Supplementary information: Check the physical parameters (density, viscosity, saturated vapor pressure, dew point line, bubble point line) based on the design requirements (substances processed, processing capacity, content of each component) upstairs to determine the type of distillation tower (plate tower (bubble tower, sieve plate tower, float valve tower), packed tower), float valve tower, sieve plate tower is more common, plate tower is an example.: Calculate the number of theoretical plates (can be used as a graphical method or a calculation method or a shortcut method). It is recommended to use two methods to ensure correct calculation. Determine the basic dimensions such as the diameter and height of the tower according to the flow rate. The extraction section and the distillation section should be calculated separately. Generally, the diameter of the tower is different. The plate spacing of the tray design is determined, and the overflow weir and downcomer are determined and calibrated.: Load diagram consisting of five load lines for liquid flooding without foam entrainment (with operating lines and operating points) Auxiliary equipment: Pump selection and calibration. Heat exchanger selection and calibration. Pipe selection. Draw drawings and flow charts with operating points. If you have any questions, please contact QQ704679628.
You can refer to the book "Chemical Engineering Unit Process and Equipment Curriculum Design". This is the book I used when designing the course. The entire process of distillation tower design is covered in great detail.
Using AspenPlus, first use the simple model DSTWU to calculate the number of plates and reflux flow, then use the RadFac model to accurately simulate and determine the number of theoretical plates, and then conduct hydraulic design of the tower based on the processing capacity.
We used to use the book Principles of Chemical Engineering, which has a very comprehensive explanation of tower design. You'd better find a book to study on your own first. No matter what we say, it's not as systematic as the book.
I recommend the second volume of "Principles of Chemical Engineering" edited by Yao Yuying and Chen Minheng of Tianjin University.
4# Can mqfsld add you? We are designing a distillation tower. We use aspen to complete the parameter simulation. The following work is to design the distillation tower. Please ask for questions. Thank you for my QQ243758798. I can't add yours.
