What aspects should be considered when addressing the problems of smoking and burning from the furnace door? Thank you all!
I’m not sure what kind of furnace door you use; a spring-edge furnace door could be an option – it’s easy to attach and remove, and provides good sealing. High-temperature ablation can cause the furnace door to deform, leading to smoking and fires; therefore, temperature control should be strengthened. For the gaps in the furnace door, coal slurry can be used to seal them, sealing each gap as soon as it appears. For furnace doors that are severely damaged, they should be sent to the hot repair team for repair promptly.
Several factors may need to be considered if smoke is coming from the furnace door: 1. Whether the air collection duct is too high; 2. Whether the furnace frame is damaged; 3. Whether the edge of the furnace door blade is damaged. There are basically two types of furnace doors in use nowadays: the hammer-type and the spring-type. The key is to check whether the blade edge is worn; if it is, the blade edge needs to be replaced. 4. Whether the edge of the knife makes tight contact with the main body of the furnace door.
1. The gas collection duct is blocked, preventing the waste gas from the carbonization chamber from being discharged properly and resulting in excessive pressure. 2. Insufficient fan suction leads to excessive pressure in the carbonization chamber. 3. Incomplete cleaning of the furnace door, and deformation of the blade edge.
Smoke and fire coming from the furnace door: It’s a problem with the furnace door itself – the edge of the door is deformed, resulting in poor sealing. Incomplete cleaning of tar around the furnace door leads to smoking and sparking. The rise pipe, standpipe, bridge pipe, and valve bodies become blocked, preventing the raw gas from being discharged properly; this results in excessive pressure in the carbonization chamber, leading to smoking and flaming.
Most of the smoking from the furnace door is caused by inadequate cleaning of the knife edge at the furnace door; generally, the pressure in the gas collection system is well controlled in various factories.
Check: Is the pressure in the gas collection pipe too high? If there is air leakage and a fire starts after coal is added, put some small pieces of coal or coal slurry into the gaps around the furnace door. Once the coal is heated and forms a gel-like substance, it will automatically seal the leaks. Also, check whether the edges of the furnace door fit properly
It is related to the entire system; it can’t be said to be caused by just one particular area!
