Hello everyone: I want to write a standard about the resetting and bolt tightening of equipment (heat exchanger heads, flanges, etc.) after maintenance, and also formulate a checklist. Although I know how to do it in daily operations, I feel that the content is not comprehensive when I write it into a standard. I checked the forum and there is no relevant information. I don’t know if anyone has it. Is there anyone who has relevant information for my reference? Thank you!
If you use a hydraulic wrench to loosen and tighten, look for a copy of the ASME-PCC-1 standard.; If using a stretcher, refer to HG21573.
Thank you! The ones mentioned above are all special tools. We actually use manual mechanical tools, wrenches, etc., but I have made standards based on actual experience, and the results are pretty good.

Hand tightening is based on feeling. For ordinary flanges or high-pressure flanges, equipment flanges are best tightened with a torque wrench. Nowadays, there are special hydraulic torque wrenches, which are very convenient.
