Explosion-proof doors are installed in flammable and explosive dust systems such as coal conveying and powder preparation systems in thermal power plants, as well as in today’s fully enclosed air-cooled cooling tower systems. However, the old-style explosion-proof doors were designed and manufactured in China using Soviet-era technology. Due to inherent defects in their design, influenced by factors such as material quality, manufacturing methods, and operating conditions, the quality of these doors has never been satisfactory, which has had a significant impact on safe and stable operations. Special testing tools are used for calibration, enabling adjustments and tests to be carried out both on the test bench and in the field. This addresses the critical flaw of older models, which could not be tested at all in the field, thus ensuring accuracy, safety, and reliability. 2. Good sealing performance: PLD-B/C employs vertical surface sealing technology, which not only solves the problem of leakage in explosion-proof doors but also overcomes the dilemma associated with some foreign products, where sealing requires tensioning force and this affects the accuracy of the detonation pressure; in addition, it boasts strong durability. 3. Fast blast release speed: Practical tests have shown that the blast release speed of PLD-B/C is 30 to 60 times that of gravity-type explosion doors, which meets the requirement specified in American standards 68F/69F of less than 12.2 kg/m2. 4. Strong adaptability and fatigue resistance: PLD-B/C utilizes rigid, ultra-light cover plate technology, eliminating the drawbacks of older models such as flexible structure, susceptibility to fatigue, poor adaptability to varying working conditions, and low performance under fluctuations. It is stable and reliable, resistant to fatigue, and has a high durability – its service life exceeds ten years. 5. Automatic reset to prevent secondary detonation of the system. PLD-B/C features a unique automatic reset technology; it resets itself automatically after detonation, which is very convenient as no manual reset is required. This not only makes the process fast and easy but also prevents backflow of air, thus avoiding secondary detonations in the system. 6. Premature deflagration detection: PLD-C uses temperature, pressure, infrared, and shock wave sensors to detect the occurrence of deflagration; once this is detected, a signal is sent to activate the actuator that opens the release valve within 0.02 seconds. 7. High degree of automation: Automatic status monitoring – PLD-B/C are equipped with status monitors that automatically monitor the operation of the explosion-proof doors and display their working status, thereby facilitating timely resumption of production and providing clear visibility of the situation. By using imported modules and controllers, it can be used independently, integrated with the original system’s FSSS boiler safety monitoring system, or connected to a DCS system. 8. Easy installation: The PLD –.B/C models are designed with an independent self-contained system concept; the user only needs to provide the dimensions of the interface flange, after which the product can be installed directly on it, without the need for any special modifications, just as with ordinary flanges. 9. Replacement of old models: For many existing older models, it is extremely simple to switch to PLD-B/C products. Users only need to provide the dimensions of the interface flanges of the original explosion-proof doors as well as the requirements regarding detonation technology; no modifications are necessary. Thus, the old models can be removed and replaced with the new ones easily. 10. Freeze and corrosion resistance: PLD-B/C utilizes a unique fully sealed technology, making it suitable for various environments while ensuring the product’s resistance to freezing and corrosion. 11. Function of the flame arrestor screen: Under certain conditions, if it is not possible to install explosion vent pipes, a flame arrestor screen can be used as an alternative. The flame arrestor mesh is made of a highly thermally conductive material; it is used to prevent or suppress flames from escaping from the container, thereby avoiding fires caused by the release of flames during explosions and protecting operators from burns caused by hot air currents. 12. Safe and reliable: Even in the extreme situation of a complete power outage, gas cutoff, and water interruption across the entire system, the PLD-B/C series of products can still maintain normal operation and their automatic reset function, ensuring safety and reliability.
