After honeycomb electrostatic precipitators were introduced from Shijiazhuang Coking Plant and Xuansteel Coking Plant, their use began to spread in China. However, due to differences in understanding, the performance of these electrostatic precipitators varied greatly. Some factories do not recommend using hot ammonia water for cleaning, on the grounds that it prevents corrosion of the electrostatic precipitation electrodes; they also believe that shutting down the electrostatic precipitators when spraying ammonia water makes the process cumbersome. As a result, the clogging of the electric precipitator gas flow distribution plate is particularly severe. May I ask: Does your company insist on using hot ammonia water for cleaning the electrostatic precipitators? What is the frequency of such cleaning, and how long does each cleaning session last? Our plant’s electrostatic precipitators are rinsed with hot ammonia water every shift, for about 15 minutes each time.
Our factory adopts a method of cleaning on a regular weekly basis. The procedure for each cleaning session is to fully open the DN80 circulating ammonia ball valve for a short period of time, namely 3 minutes, and this process is repeated 3 times.
We use steam cleaning, usually on an 8-month cycle.
Our factory uses circulating ammonia water for cleaning; the two units are cleaned separately, once every two weeks, with one unit being cleaned per week. The cleaning process takes about two hours per session, and no blockages have occurred
