What is the structure of an inert gas generator?
An inert gas generator is essentially a hot air furnace; circulating air is introduced through the distribution holes in the jacket. Its functions are: 1. Cooling； 2. Assist combustion by reducing the oxygen content in the circulating air
Additionally, a burner is located at the top to introduce bleed air or natural gas for combustion in order to heat the circulating air.
The structure of the hot air furnace is divided into three parts: the combustion zone – where air and fuel gas burn to generate heat; the premixing zone – where approximately 30% of the recirculated air mixes with the high-temperature gases from the combustion zone, resulting in a temperature of around 800–900°C; and the mixing zone – where 70% of the recirculated air mixes with the gases from the premixing zone, giving a temperature of approximately 180–250°C℃
