Due to the relatively simple process, its investment cost is also relatively low. Meigen Oil Company has acquired the microalgae gasification technology from the Northwest Laboratory, with plans to introduce it worldwide. Microalgae appear to be a very promising technology, with a yield per mu that is about 100 times higher than that of conventional biomass; of course, this depends on climate and sunlight.
