How can someone with experience in chemical production switch to the field of fine chemicals?

Those with experience in chemical production (involving reactions, distillation, recovery, hydrocarbonation reactions, etc.) who wish to switch to the field of fine chemicals – please offer some advice: handshake
One can learn it as long as there is a chance to be exposed to it. I see that in our company, engineers who work in fine chemicals, workshop supervisors, and even chief engineers don’t have a background in chemistry, yet they’re still very competent. The key is for them to accept you first, and then learn. The foundation is still very good. It’s all about chemistry; principles apply across similar areas.
Many processes in the fine chemical industry involve chemical reactions; we used to provide specialized training in chemical engineering principles and related chemistry topics. If you have a foundation in these areas, you should be able to adapt easily. It depends on which direction you plan to pursue – it’s best if it’s related to what you already know~
Actually, I majored in chemical engineering, but after graduation I worked in process engineering (in the large-scale chemical industry). Now, to cope with living in two different places, I have to make a change. Well, actually it doesn’t matter what you do; the key is to like what you do, haha. Thank you.
