This is absolutely not allowed; running the pump without liquid can lead to dry grinding of the seals and ring seals, causing mechanical damage and ruining the pump.
Magnetic pump – runs idle or operates without liquid. It is recommended to install an anti-idle protection device for the pump, which will shut it down automatically within 2 seconds when idling, thus protecting the pump from damage. A centrifugal water pump with a sealed water supply connected to it should work, I guess.
5# guojia: Even centrifugal water pumps equipped with their own sealed water systems won’t work; only the mechanical seal can be cooled, but friction at areas such as the impeller flange still generates heat, which can damage the pump.
It must absolutely not run idle, and the presence of sealing water is also not acceptable. The primary condition for a centrifugal pump to operate is that its tank be filled with water, with all air removed.

It is absolutely forbidden to run a centrifugal pump without load, and the reasons for this have been clearly explained on the second floor. Another point is that even if the centrifugal pump is filled with water, without the outlet valve being opened, it generally cannot stay in that state for more than three minutes. Running the submersible pump for extended periods can cause cavitation, which damages the pump.
It should be fine to operate it in jog mode during testing, right?
Check the motor wiring; a test run with intermittent operation is possible……
