Is there a decolorization step in the determination of K2O? I use the industry standard NY1107-2006 for water-soluble macroelement fertilizers in my tests
2# Phosphoric acid oxygen, potassium chloride – there are standards for these. There are also standards for determining potassium content in compound fertilizers. Standards exist for measuring potassium in imported fertilizers as well. Those with standards should follow those standards as the basis for measurement. Since you are dealing with water-soluble fertilizers, agricultural standards should be used (although it seems like it’s the same method in all cases)
