It should be selected based on the corrosive environment of the equipment and its usage conditions.
It mainly depends on what type of medium is involved; lining with rubber isn’t a solution that works for all types of media. With the advancements in material technology, the corrosion resistance of FRP is also improving, and it offers many advantages in terms of construction (it can be shaped into various forms and used to create small devices, etc.). Generally, rubber sheets are more expensive, but high-quality FRP materials aren’t cheap either.
