Chemical plants emit a large amount of SO2 in their exhaust gases, but dust is not very noticeable. I’ve seen large foreign companies like SECCO use it. For SO2, I recommend using ultraviolet light; it helps to avoid interference from water vapor levels, as infrared light is more affected by water vapor. However, ultraviolet light is a bit more expensive. For smoke and dust, ROSEMOUNT/ABB/Siemens/Yokogawa all have options. The domestic Hangzhou Focus also enjoys a good reputation.
If it is for environmental protection projects, it is recommended to choose domestic manufacturers of environmental protection equipment, as this makes things easier during inspections by the environmental protection authorities. We use products from Hebei Xianhe
In the first half of the year, work was carried out on sulfur recovery from flue gas SO2 in a certain petrochemical facility; two well-known brands and a smaller brand represented by an agent in Beijing were involved in the bid process. Once the technical agreements and bids were finalized, a supplier claimed to be certified by the local environmental protection agency appeared, insisting on using their equipment at a price more than twice the winning bid amount, on the grounds that the data had to be uploaded to the environmental protection agency… Eventually, they proved unable to carry out the work due to their lack of technical expertise. A new bidding process was held after six months, and the same company won the contract as before.
