I ask hesitantly: Will burning produce carcinogenic substances such as dioxins? Is it possible to collect the odors from the sewage treatment plant and send them through air ducts for incineration?
Hello. If the foul gas is flammable, it can be used for incineration. During the combustion process in an incinerator, trace amounts of dioxins are generated; the emission standard is 0.1 ng TEQ/m3. A treatment process is carried out to remove the dioxins at the end of the incineration process, ensuring that the emissions remain well below the specified standard.
The odor is primarily air-based, containing trace amounts of hydrogen sulfide, organic vapors, benzene compounds, ammonia, etc. It is the air collected from above the aeration tank; this is mainly to prevent unpleasant odors from escaping naturally, as its calorific value is certainly low. Is it worth burning? How do your incinerators ultimately deal with dioxins? Can the technical principle be explained simply?
Upstairs, in my opinion, the components contain flammable substances, but their concentration is too low to allow for direct combustion. It’s similar to what happens in VOC recovery: waste gases with a low concentration and high flow rate cannot be burned directly; they must first be concentrated.
