Now I want to make a container. The medium is 30% hydrochloric acid + 70% alcohol, but I don’t know what material to use. Hope you can give me some advice
I don’t know what the temperature of the medium is? If it is not greater than 60, you can choose ferritic stainless steel such as Cr26Mo1, Mo-containing duplex stainless steel containing Cr22%-25%, and high-nickel stainless steel with high Cr and Mo, such as Cr20Ni25Mo4.5Cu.
Due to the corrosive nature of hydrochloric acid, stainless steel is not good. It is recommended that the host consult non-metallic manufacturers, such as polypropylene and polyethylene manufacturers. If such materials are not soluble in alcohol, there will be no problem. You can also consult a fiberglass manufacturer, which should be fine. For storage tanks with a small volume, just use this type of material directly. If the volume is large, carbon steel can be used to reinforce the outside of the container.
Due to the corrosive nature of hydrochloric acid and cost considerations, it is recommended to use lined or glass-lined tanks.
I agree with the idea of using inner lining upstairs, it is reasonable, economical and safe.
The suggestion on the 3rd floor is good, but if the container is a pressure vessel, it is not easy to solve. It is recommended that the author explain the operating temperature, operating pressure, volume and other operating parameters, which will help a comprehensive understanding.

Look at the pressure. If it is not a pressure vessel, it is recommended to use a non-metallic one. Hydrochloric acid corrodes steel very badly.
