As the title suggests, what do URS and SCC mean in the CUHK projects?
urs=Users Requirement Specification – Standards for user requirements; scc=Specific Clauses and Conditions – Special provisions and terms. __For reference only
Support the opinion above. However, URS is translated as “customer requirements” in this translation.
URS: Customer needs. SCC: Special clauses and documents. 1. = Satellite Control Center; 2. Security Control Center; 3. Sequence Control Counter; 4. Standards Council of Canada; 5. Computer monitoring; 6. Special clauses and conditions. The abbreviations used these days are simply absurd!
The original poster should provide some context; otherwise it’s difficult to guess. At least a range should be specified so that a more accurate estimate can be made: handshake
The abuse of abbreviations is actually a practice that is detrimental to technical communication. OP, I recommend that you use Word to create a database to collect the abbreviations you come across; this will be more effective.
That’s indeed the case; these abbreviations are often used indiscriminately in some projects these days. Unless the manufacturer specifies what they stand for in the technical specifications, we have no idea what they mean!
