My CAD file from 2006 hasn’t had the filling function working recently. Please, dear experts, help solve this
Original poster, please explain the situation in detail; it would be great if you could attach a picture as well. Thank you!
1. It may cause setting issues! Please use the fill command to change the settings ; 2. It could also be a virus!
The line isn’t closed, right? I usually just keep pressing H
I’ve encountered similar problems before, and I think there are two reasons for this: (1) the shape is not closed; (2) Improper filling ratio setting. If it’s not due to these two reasons, it might be that your CAD software is damaged; try reinstalling it!
The same rectangle cannot be filled in one file; copying and pasting it into another file allows it to be filled. If the already-filled graphic is copied back to the original problem, the filling will disappear. Is it a problem with the layer settings?

Open the CAD drawing, right-click, select “Options”, go to the “Display” tab within those options, check the box for “Apply solid filling”, and then click “Apply” or “OK” at the bottom. Next time you open this drawing, if the filled areas don’t show the fill pattern, repeat the above steps and then move the drawing slightly – the fill will then appear. Another reason is what was mentioned above: it’s not closed.
Just type fill in the command bar and press Enter
