Our dryer molecular sieve has been used for 2 and a half years. The designed service life is guaranteed to be 4 years and can be extended to 5 years. Now I am repairing and replacing the molecular sieve with a new one. Is it feasible to use the old molecular sieve in a dryer that is not frequently used?
The key depends on the saturation of the old molecular sieve to confirm. If the design margin of the old molecular sieve is large, or the amount of media processed is much smaller than the designed value, or the frequency of use of the old molecular sieve is not high, etc., it means that the saturation of the old molecular sieve is low and it is possible that it can continue to be used. Otherwise, you may not consider continuing to use it to avoid adverse effects on production.
It should be regenerable. The broken molecules can be screened out, and the good ones can be regenerated and used again.
It's absolutely possible, but it needs to be activated before use. The so-called regeneration pressure swing adsorption process is achieved by continuous adsorption and desorption regeneration of molecular sieves. If water is adsorbed, it can be regenerated at high temperature, and the temperature should be above 300°C.
The final decision was to use a new molecular sieve. Recycling is only for economic reasons, but the frequency of daily use is also very high. It is usually regenerated once every 4 days. In addition, the filling, use, and disassembly processes may cause crushing, so it is better not to use it.
If the dryer is not used often, it can be reused. The energy consumption may be high, but after all, it saves costs and is not commonly used.
