What kind of valves are usually chosen for acetylene gas pipelines? According to the standards, gate valves cannot be used, and there are also specifications regarding the material. Are there any requirements for the internal components of the valve?
Acetylene is a toxic gas; gate valves must indeed not be used under such conditions. Valves with higher sealing performance, such as ball valves with excellent operational characteristics, should be chosen instead.
