Zeolites are microporous, aluminosilicate minerals commonly used as commercial adsorbents. It can be seen that molecular sieve includes zeolite, and zeolite only refers to silica-aluminum molecular sieve. I didn't know much about these two words at first, but I came into contact with molecular sieve more at work. First of all, please clarify a concept, what is a molecular sieve?: It uses the principle of different molecular pore sizes to screen substances of different molecules. There are two types of molecular sieves: One type is zeolite molecular sieves and the other type is carbon molecular sieves. Then it’s easy to translate: Zeolite molecular sieve = zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS for short) Carbon molecular sieve = carbon molecular sieve (CMS for short) In addition, when the name molecular sieve was invented, there was only the first type of molecular sieve, so at that time, molecular sieve was = molecular sieve. That is, all molecular sieves that appear in foreign languages all refer to zeolite molecular sieves. About zeolite: refers to zeolite. Zeolite is originally a natural mineral, a natural molecular sieve with porous constant pore size. Later, scientists invented a method to artificially synthesize zeolite.
