Generally, lubricant (butter) is applied when tightening the nut; after tightening, the lubricant fills the gaps between the threads, resulting in little exposure to air. In contrast, the end of the bolt remains exposed to air, so it is likely to corrode first. It is recommended to carry out chemical anti-corrosion treatment on the bolts after they are manufactured, such as phosphating.
