Is PE material resistant to hydrofluoric acid corrosion? What are the restrictions? Our company uses a centrifuge lined with PE material, which has been corroded! Please tell me if anyone has used any other
The corrosion resistance of PE material to hydrofluoric acid is not good, only 40%. Relatively speaking, fluorine rubber is better.
PP material is also good, I have used this before
It is recommended to use HALA-lined centrifuge, there are professional manufacturers
CQB fluoroplastic magnetic pump, IMC fluoroplastic magnetic drive pump, ZMD fluoroplastic magnetic self-priming pump, IHF steel-lined fluoroplastic centrifugal pump, FSB(D) type fluoroplastic centrifugal pump, FZB type fluoroplastic self-priming pump, UHB type corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant mortar pump, FYH type fluoroplastic submersible pump are mainly made of the following materials, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, referred to as F4) Polyperfluoroethylene-propylene (FEP, referred to as F46) Fusible polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA) Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE) Fluoroplastic lining is mainly made of the following materials: Polyperfluoroethylenepropylene (FEP, referred to as F46) Meltable polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA) IHF fluorine-lined centrifugal pump ----- is a new generation of corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump based on the IH pump. It is suitable for long-term transportation of various acids, oxidants and other corrosive media of any concentration under the temperature conditions of -20℃~200℃. The pump body is made of metal shell lined with fluorine plastic (F46), which is enough To withstand the weight of the pipeline and withstand mechanical impact, the impeller and pump cover are pressed and molded with metal inserts and wrapped with fluoroplastic alloy. The shaft seal uses advanced external bellows mechanical seals. The static ring is made of 99.9% alumina ceramics. The moving ring is made of PTFE filling material, which is characterized by good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. With the back-pull structure, one person can easily perform daily internal maintenance and parts replacement without disassembling the pump inlet and outlet pipes. The CQB magnetic pump applies modern magnetic principles and uses permanent magnets to achieve non-contact indirect transmission. It is a chemical process pump. When the motor drives the outer rotor (i.e., the outer magnet) assembly to rotate, the magnetic field lines pass through the isolation sleeve to drive the inner rotor (i.e., the inner magnet) assembly and the impeller to rotate synchronously through the action of the magnetic field. The medium is completely enclosed in the stationary isolation sleeve, thereby achieving the purpose of pumping the medium without leakage. The shaft seal leakage of the mechanical transmission pump is completely solved. It is a fully sealed, leakage-free, and pollution-free new industrial pump. I think we should start from the source and consider not buying new equipment just because of corrosion. We should analyze the reasons and then consider whether there is a solution from a process perspective.
PP and PPR are both fine, but there should be a temperature rise when the centrifuge is running. It is best to use a PTFE-lined magnetic pump to drive it.
Can the horizontal fluoroplastic self-priming pump made of F46 be used for AHF loading? Also, can this kind of pump be used to press acid from the AHF inspection tank to the AHF storage tank?
If the temperature is below 60% and the concentration is not high, PP material can be used. If the temperature is high or the concentration is low, it is best to use PVDF.
PTFE material should be fine
It is recommended that the equipment is broken and there is no value for repair. First, consider what medium it is. If it is acid, it is recommended to use a PTEE centrifuge. You can use 316L material for the sieve plate.* The company can also produce ammonium sulfate
