Phosphates are produced by a phosphorylation reaction between organic compounds containing hydroxyl groups and phosphorylating agents. Since phosphoric acid is a triacid, the esterification products contain monoesters, diesters, and triesters, with a mixture of monoesters and diesters being the main components. Monostearates exhibit good water solubility, emulsifying properties, and antistatic effects ； Diesters have good smoothness but remain in a dispersed state in water. Due to the wide range of applications of monoesters, increasing their mass fraction in products has been an important topic in phosphate ester research in recent years. Common phosphorylation reagents include P2O5, POCl3, PCl3, and pyrophosphoric acid. Among these, P2O5 offers mild reaction conditions when used as a phosphorylation reagent; it does not require special equipment, is cost-effective, and causes no environmental pollution. P2O5 is a hygroscopic solid powder; its reaction with fatty alcohols is a heterogeneous reaction. It tends to caking in air, which leads to uneven reactions, localized excessive reactions, and difficulties in controlling the process, ultimately affecting the quality and yield of the product.
