What is the unit of Lt?

I saw the unit “Lt” on the nameplate of the heating tank in the burner of the heating furnace; I think it’s a unit of volume. There are two models: 50 Lt and 18 Lt. It seems to be similar to liters. However, after checking online, it was stated that it refers to a long ton. I’m not sure how to convert this unit to China’s volume units. Please help me understand this.
The unit of weight for equipment is LT, an imperial unit. The UK and the US have different definitions for a ton; in the UK, 1 ton equals 1016 kilograms, which is why the ton used there is called a long ton ； In the United States, 1 ton is equal to 907 kilograms; therefore, the ton used there is called a short ton.
I’m not sure about the relationship between 1 long ton and a ton; please advise
1 long ton = 1016 kilograms, 1 short ton = 907 kilograms; it’s very beneficial!
It’s even more confusing according to what was said above; it’s better to use the International System of Units.
