When using acid, it is first necessary to check the acid distribution, the condition of the ceramic rings, and the defoaming efficiency. If the resistance of the porcelain ring is too high, a local short circuit will occur, the acid separation effect will be poor, and foam will be produced.
Any of the above answers is possible; it’s still necessary to check each item individually. There have been similar discussion posts on the forum for a long time.
There may be the following reasons: 1. The fiber demister is punctured, causing gas short-circuiting. 2. Large gas volume and high gas velocity result in flooding. 3. The absorption effect is poor, and the control of mild and strong acidity is inadequate. 4. The drying effect is poor, and acid mist enters the absorption tower.
In my opinion, this is due to poor control over the concentration and temperature of the circulating acid during the absorption process. If the concentration of the circulating acid is too low, condensate acid is likely to form inside the heat exchanger. On the other hand, if the temperature of the circulating acid is too high, a large amount of acid foam is generated during the absorption process; the higher the temperature, the finer the acid foam becomes. The finer the foam, the more difficult it is to capture it using foam traps. When this acid foam condenses inside the heat exchanger, it can also cause corrosion to the equipment.
