This post was last edited by jimmmme on 2009-8-20 08:50. I work in chemical pipelines and am currently tracking a chemical project. The technical person in charge of the owner knows our company very well and knows our strength. It can be said that he is very willing to cooperate with us. Their project was contracted out to a design institute, and the bidding was handled by the design institute. However, I had never dealt with this design institute before, and it was difficult to get into this design institute. Could you please give me some advice, how likely is it that I can complete this project? What's the best way to do it?
Hehe, the original poster is a material supplier. From what you said earlier, since we have a good relationship with the owner, I wonder if it is the owner’s core supplier? If so, the poster doesn't need to worry. If not, the poster still needs to make direct contact with the design institute. (The design institute is the EPC general contractor in this project. ) Unless your equipment supply is the supplier designated by the owner. All in all, you still need to contact people from the design institute.
Depending on the attitude of the owner's technical person in charge, the focus of work will be on the owner's side. The design institute needs to contact and communicate with the relevant person in charge, provided that the owner and the design institute have reached a consensus with you.
Fully demonstrate your unit's technical and management capabilities to owners, while providing successful performance on similar projects. Fully gain the trust of owners. Ask the owner's personnel to introduce and recommend your shortlist of suppliers or subcontractors to the design institute and show them to the general contractor. As a last resort, the owner is asked to specify subcontracting in the general contracting bidding documents.
2# Helene It’s hard to specify the pipeline.
It’s difficult to designate pipelines, and the design institute is a very good one. We have never dealt with them before.
The technical person in charge of the owner has great trust in us, and the bidding process has to go through two tenders, and the technical bid still has to be determined by the owner.
The owner already trusted us, and it was no problem to recommend us as a finalist. But in the end, we won the bid, but I felt unsure.
Now that the strength has been recognized, the only thing left is the relationship. In China, this still needs to be carefully considered.
